The 2025 Southeastern Legal Awards have named Gordon Giffin a Lifetime Achiever honoree and Edward Lindsey Jr. a Distinguished Leader honoree. Both are Atlanta-based Public Policy and Regulation partners. The Firm’s Litigation practice is also a finalist for Litigation Departments of the Year (General Litigation). The winner will be announced at an awards gala on May 1.

Giffin specializes in international transactions and trade matters, government procurement, energy regulatory and policy matters, corporate governance and crisis counseling, federal and state regulatory matters and public policy. He served as US ambassador to Canada from 1997 to 2001, presiding over the world’s largest bilateral trading relationship and overseeing the nation’s collaboration with Canada on global issues. Giffin has been on the Board of Trustees for The Carter Center for decades, and he also serves on the advisory boards for the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at Georgia Tech, the Woodrow Wilson Center’s Canada Institute, and the Canadian American Business Council. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission.

Lindsey serves as the head of the Firm's Georgia State Government Affairs team. He focuses on advancing the public policy interests and objectives of clients in the transportation, infrastructure, health care and education sectors. Lindsey has more than 38 years of legal, political and leadership experience, including 10 years as a Georgia state representative and three terms as the Georgia House Majority Whip. He also served on the House Appropriations, Judiciary, Education, Ways and Means, and Rules Committees.
