London—Dentons has advised leading independent oil and gas company Wintershall Dea on the sale of its 10 per cent participating interest in Abu Dhabi’s Ghasha concession to PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP).

The transaction is part of Wintershall Dea's broader company changes, following the news in December 2023 that Wintershall Dea’s shareholders BASF and LetterOne signed a business combination agreement with Harbour Energy for the transfer of Wintershall Dea's E&P business.  Wintershall Dea's stake in the Ghasha concession is not part of this arrangement and has now been sold to PTTEP.
