Jason Saltzman practices corporate finance and securities law, with an emphasis on securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, as well as all other aspects of corporate and securities law. Jason works with both established and emerging companies world-wide, primarily in the mining, technology, life science, cleantech (including renewable energy, water tech and ag tech), industrial, mid-tech and digital media and entertainment sectors. He assists issuers, investment dealers, crowdfunding portals and institutional and private investors on complex equity and debt financing transactions, ranging from start-up investments, venture capital and private equity investments, to larger public offerings and project finance.

Robert is the Managing Partner of Bennett Gold LLP, Chartered Accountants and is known throughout the Greater Toronto business community as an advisor with great integrity, practical business insights, and a passion for helping entrepreneurs achieve their goals. His firm caters to the tax, accounting and strategic needs of entrepreneurs, professionals, business owners, startups, and family-run ventures.

Robert produces and hosts Canada's most successful business podcast, the PROFIT BusinessCast and co-authored 'Business Insights', a book based on the podcast that explores ways businesses can build loyalty and grow profits. When Equity Crowdfunding came to prominence in 2016, Robert produced a 7-part series on the subject for PROFIT and Canadian Business, which put him in touch with crowdfunding experts across the country. Robert co-authored ‘Business Success Stories’, a book that shares stories about entrepreneurs successfully overcoming common business challenges. He was chosen as the 'Accountant of Choice for Entrepreneurs and Inventors' by Toronto LIfe Magazine.

• Rubsun Ho, CEO, Crowdmatrix

Rubsun Ho is Chief Crowdpleaser at Crowdmatrix Inc., an investment crowdfunding platform that gives accredited investors the opportunity to invest in leading Canadian growth companies alongside professional venture investors. A portfolio company of Extreme Venture Partners, Crowdmatrix launched in August 2016.

Prior to Crowdmatrix, Rubsun was a co-founder of Cognition LLP, a virtual law firm that was created to address the rising costs and inefficiencies of corporate legal services. Earlier this year, Cognition was sold to Axiom Legal, a global player that is predicted to be the largest legal services company in the world in the next 5 years.

Prior to Cognition, Rubsun was VP of Business Development at Wysdom Inc., where he helped raise US$57 million in financing for the wireless Internet startup. Rubsun has a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto.
