Global law firm Dentons has advised Infracapital, the infrastructure equity investment arm of M&G Plc, on the sale of its 100 percent stake in DUON to UCED, part of the CREDITAS Group.

DUON is a leading Polish independent gas infrastructure platform, involved in the distribution and supply of liquified natural gas (LNG) and grid gas to industrial customers in areas of Poland without gas pipelines. The company has over 800 km of gas pipelines, more than 21 regasification plants and operates a fleet of 24 cryogenic semi-trailers. The company plays an important role in reducing Poland’s greenhouse gas emissions by enabling the transition from coal to gas.

DUON was previously a subsidiary of GGE a.s., the Slovak heat and electricity distributer, which Infracapital, with Dentons’ assistance, sold to the CREDITAS Group last year.

Partners Rob Irving, Co-Head of the Corporate and M&A practice group in Europe, Paweł Grabowski and Maciej Skoczyński led Dentons’ legal team on the deal. The core team also included senior associate Sebastian Ishiguro, associates Aliz Wulcz and Brigitta Kovacs from the Budapest office and senior associate Beata Błaż from the Warsaw office.
