As part of the launch of Dentons Going Public in Canada Resource Centre, partner and lead of our national Corporate group, Charles Spector, was interviewed by BNN Bloomberg to discuss what challenges might lie ahead for investors who are taking part in the Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) market boom.
During the interview, Chuck mentions that “the Canadian market is very different than the US market, even in the SPAC world where there is a very strong oversight by the regulatory authorities.” He adds that “the traditional IPO has a lot more due diligence process behind it, much more vetting and regulatory scrutiny.”
