Dubai—Dentons' Banking and Finance team has advised on a number of award-winning deals in the Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Middle East Awards 2023. These awards recognise the most innovative and ground-breaking deals from Sovereign, Corporate and Financial Institution issuers and borrowers. The award-winning categories for which Dentons has won accolades include, amongst others:

• Corporate Bond Deal of the Year was awarded to Majid Al Futtaim's US$500 million 7.875% Subordinated Perpetual NC5.25 Green Bond. Dentons advised the Joint Lead Managers on the issuance, which represented a relatively infrequent corporate hybrid issuance from the Middle Eastern markets. The team was led by partner Alex Roussos (Dubai).
• Transport Finance Deal of the Year was awarded to Etihad Rail Company PJSC for its AED1.99 billion green loan term facility provided by First Abu Dhabi Bank PJSC for Etihad Rail's passenger transport services. The team was led by partner Stephen Knight (Abu Dhabi).
