London—Dentons is delighted to announce that it was named 'Planning Law Firm of the Year' at the Planning and Placemaking Awards 2016.  The UK Planning team was recognised for its work advising both public and private sector clients on a number of significant planning and regeneration projects that will transform the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London.

Dentons is advising on major projects which are set to improve the economic and social well being of the Greenwich Peninsula, Woolwich Town Centre, and Greenwich Riverside Opportunity Areas.  The projects – including Knight Dragon's £8.4 billion, 15,000-home Greenwich Peninsula Masterplan project , RB Greenwich's Spray Street Quarter regeneration, and London & Regional Properties' River Gardens regeneration – are set to deliver over 17,000 homes and new public spaces that will contribute to the wider London economy.

The Planning and Placemaking Awards are run by Planning Magazine and Planning Resource and celebrate the outstanding achievements in planning work by local authorities, consultants, developers, lawyers, voluntary and neighbourhood groups and all the other key players in the planning system.

In the UK earlier this year, Dentons was ranked as a top-five planning team nationally in Planning Magazine's annual survey.
