Global law firm Dentons has launched its Competition and Antitrust practice in Italy with the hire of a new partner, Michele Carpagnano, joining from Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners. Carpagnano has significant experience in European and Italian competition law and advises clients on contentious administrative and civil litigation as well as non-contentious matters.

He also holds a teaching position in Private Law and EU Antitrust at the Faculty of Law of Trento University, where he is the founder and co-director of the independent research institute Osservatorio Permanente sull’Applicazione delle Regole di Concorrenza (Competition Law Enforcement Observatory) and of the Trento Summer School on Advanced EU Competition Law & Economics.
