London—Dentons has advised Tide Construction on securing planning permission for its 462-home "Castle" scheme at Acton.

Acting as the developer and contractor of the scheme, Tide will work alongside its volumetric manufacturing company Vision on this exemplar 32-storey development, which is expected to have an 18-month construction programme.

The scheme comes hot on the heels of other successes for Tide with Dentons, who have a pipeline of 3,500 homes under construction. Dentons recently helped Tide secure permission for their 48-storey student accommodation tower in Canary Wharf, which joins a pair of buildings 38 and 44 storeys in height completed by Tide in Croydon in 2021 (also supported by Dentons) as the largest modular towers in the world.

Dentons' Planning and Public Law team advised on all planning aspects of the proposal, including negotiations on the viability review mechanisms.
