We are proud to report that PropertyNews.pl and Polski Prawnik crowned Dentons’ Warsaw Real Estate practice “undisputed hegemon” of the commercial real estate market in Poland for our advisory roles in four of the five biggest real estate deals in 2014, accounting for €852 million.

The title of “market hegemon” also goes to Paweł Dębowski, Chairman of the European Real Estate Group who, together with Senior Associate Maciej Jodkowski, acted on two of the country's leading projects.

These included the sale of the landmark Rondo 1 office tower to Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management - the largest transaction on the Polish market last year. We represented BlackRock Real Estate in the transaction, which was worth nearly €300 million.

The four largest deals, in which our Warsaw lawyers were involved, included:

1. The sale of the Rondo 1 office tower in Warsaw for BlackRock Real Estate to Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management.
2. The sale of Poznan City Center for Europa Capital and TriGranit Development JV to Resolution Property and ECE.
3. The sale of the metropolitan office building in Warsaw for Aberdeen Asset Management Deutschland to Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management.
4. The acquisition for Starwood Capital Group of an office portfolio comprising the T-Mobile Office Park and Łopuszańska Business Park in Warsaw and Katowice Business Point from Ghelamco.

The volume of all property transactions in Poland last year was €3.2 billion with the top five accounting for €1.1 billion.

We came in first place, ahead of Hogan Lovells in second place and CMS, Clifford Chance and Norton Rose Fulbright, who came joint third.
