Berlin/Warsaw—Global law firm Dentons has appointed partners Tim Heitling and Christian Schnell as Co-heads of the Europe Energy group. In their new roles, they will be responsible for driving the Firm’s strategy, product offering and capabilities for clients in the energy sector across 18 countries in Europe and Central Asia.

Tim Heitling is a Corporate and M&A partner who advises clients with respect to M&A, joint ventures, projects and financings in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He has extensive experience with regard to energy generation, storage, transmission and distribution assets, as well as eMobility. He guides clients through all stages of project development, including early-stage structuring, financing, share or asset deals, and power purchase agreements (PPA). He also advises on regulatory issues.

Christian Schnell is an Energy transactional partner in Warsaw, who also works out of the Munich office. He has 25 years’ experience in advising on project development, joint ventures, construction and supply contracts, transactions, project finance, PPAs and heat supply agreements in the energy sector in Poland, Central and Eastern Europe, and Southeast Europe. He is dual qualified in Germany and Poland. He has also long-term experience in advising investors with market entry strategies.
