Honolulu—Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, announces today that John-Anderson (“Anderson”) L. Meyer has been named managing partner of the Firm’s Honolulu office. He succeeds Paul Alston, who held the role at Dentons since 2018, and before that at legacy firm Alston Hunt Floyd and Ing, prior to its combination with Dentons.

Meyer is a member of Dentons’ Commercial Litigation practice, where he advises and represents health care providers, hospitals, medical centers, health insurers and health care systems, among other clients, across Hawai`i. He has been recognized by both Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers.

An active member of his community, Meyer has lectured on appellate advocacy, complex torts and insurance law at his alma mater, the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawai`i. He also formerly worked with the university’s Elder Law Program, educating Hawaii’s elders on end-of-life decision-making, and he serves on the Hawai`i Court Annexed Arbitration Program's panel of court-appointed arbitrators.
