Dentons Canada is pleased to announce that Christian Létourneau, national lead of the Employment and Labour group, has been nominated as the new Office Managing Partner in Montréal, effective immediately. Christian succeeds Claude Morency, partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, who held the position since 2007.

Christian Létourneau has over 30 years of extensive experience advising clients in all aspects of employment and labour law. He represents a wide range of clients before all levels of courts and tribunals. Recognized for his in-depth expertise in psychological harassment cases and his effective conciliation strategies, Christian has successfully negotiated several collective agreements for clients over the course of his career. He also has considerable experience providing key strategic counsel in commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.

After 14 years as Manager Partner in Montréal, Claude Morency will be transitioning into a new leadership role as a member of the Firm’s National Board of Directors. A seasoned litigator, Claude has a broad practice which covers corporate, commercial and construction litigation. Over the years, he has built a solid track record of managing large-scale and complex litigation matters before arbitral and judicial courts. “It has been a privilege to serve as the Montréal Office Managing Partner for the past 14 years”. Over the next weeks, Christian and Claude will work in close collaboration to ensure a smooth transition of leadership in the Montréal office. They will both continue servicing their clients and will maintain active practices, in addition to taking on new leadership roles.
