In this presentation we will provide an overview of the Supreme Court’s May 2023 decision in the Warhol v. Goldsmith case, including how the fight over a photograph of Prince and Warhol’s silkscreens and Kat Von D’s use of a world famous photographic portrait will forever change copyright law. Attendees will also learn about how the Supreme Court’s analysis of fair use will affect multiple industries in the future, including advertising, tech, media, and entertainment.
