Bucharest—Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, assisted Xella group in Romania, a global provider of construction solutions, in selling its precast concrete division, consolidated in the company Simbeton SRL, further to an internal reorganization process. The company has been taken over by Romcim, part of the Irish group CHR, a worldwide leader in the building materials market.

The transaction is subject to approval by the Romanian competition council, and it is expected to be completed in the first half of 2022.

Partner Cristian Popescu led the transaction from structuring to closing, assisted by counsel Cristina Marcu, and associates Cristina Florea and Alin Dimache.
