Marie Bernard, Europe Director of Innovation at Dentons and Strategic Advisor to Nextlaw Labs, was recognized in the Fastcase 50 as one of the world’s leading innovators in law. The Fastcase 50 award, presented by legal publisher Fastcase, recognizes pioneering innovators, visionaries and leaders who have made important contributions to the legal profession.

Created in 2011, the annual award honors a diverse group of lawyers, legal technologists, policymakers, judges, law librarians, bar association executives, and people from all walks of life. Winners are selected by Fastcase based on online nominations.

A passionate promoter of technology and innovation, Marie Bernard’s role is to accelerate Dentons’ internal development and innovation culture and promote legal-tech initiatives and strategic projects throughout Europe. As a strategic advisor to Nextlaw Labs, she seeks out and develops ideas for new products, services or startups with potential applications in the legal sector and seeks potential business partners in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She also serves as a board member at the European Legal Tech Association (ELTA).
