King has advised hundreds of cannabis businesses from small family-run businesses to large publicly traded companies operating in multiple states. She represents a wide array of business types including standalone medical and adult use hydro-carbon, distillate and CO2 extraction facilities; infused edibles and beverage producers; cultivators; retailers; testing labs; and vertically integrated operators. She represents investors, landlords and ancillary businesses, including financial institutions. King also has substantial experience working with Tribal nations seeking to enter the cannabis and hemp markets.

Loyd is co-leader of Dentons' national Tax practice and a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel. He has managed and resolved sales, property, income and excise tax, and licensing issues through audit management, administrative protest or settlement and, when necessary, tax litigation in administrative tribunals, state courts and appellate courts, including the US Supreme Court.

Spears, a co-chair of Dentons’ global Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector, is known for her first-rate defense of several high-profile recent media law cases for clients such as Netflix, CBS, NBCUniversal and Dow Jones. She is at the forefront of defending press freedom and protecting artistic expression under the First Amendment.

In his 17th year as pro bono partner for Dentons US, Weinberg oversees the Firm’s Pro Bono efforts. He develops and supports pro bono partnerships with clients, legal aid providers, nonprofits and nongovernmental organizations to provide legal assistance to underserved individuals and communities.

With extensive public service experience as a former Commissioner and Acting Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Wetjen played a pivotal role in shaping financial regulatory reforms, including the approval of the first Bitcoin derivatives contract. He has also served on advisory boards to companies in the asset-management and digital-asset industries, as well as the CFTC’s Global Markets Advisory Committee.

Ziyaeva, Dentons’ US co-lead for Mining and Natural Resources, is known for representing investors and sovereign states in high-stakes, landmark international commercial and investment arbitrations and in litigations, including before the US Supreme Court. Fluent in seven languages, she is a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, and advises governments, investment firms and asset managers about mitigating risks and evaluating investments in international claims and arbitration awards.
