Dentons has won two significant awards at the IFN Deals of the Year 2014, which recognize the excellence, achievement and leadership of those who have participated in the industry’s most groundbreaking transactions.

Dentons advised on the "Cross Border Deal of the Year: The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD)." In this major deal, Dentons advised the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Malaysia) on an Islamic commodity murabahah facility of US$100 million to ICD. Bringing together the Far East and the Middle East, this was the first cross-border transaction by a Japanese bank to an Islamic multilateral international financial institution.

Dentons also acted on the "Qatar Deal of the Year: Ezdan Holdings." We acted for Ezdan Holdings in this deal, which featured several innovative firsts for the Qatari market including the first ever 100 percent Islamic international syndication Ijarah for a Qatari corporate and also the first ever 100 percent Islamic international syndication in the Qatari real estate sector.
