Bratislava—Dentons has advised JTRE sports & entertainment a.s., a company belonging to JTRE real estate development group, on its acquisition of 100% of HC SLOVAN Bratislava, Slovakia’s most successful ice-hockey club with a legacy dating back more than a century.

JTRE sports & entertainment purchased the majority share from Mrs. Elena Hrubá, the legal heir of the late shareholder Rudolf Hrubý, as well as minority shares from Pavel Hofstädter and Eduard Jánošík to become the 100% shareholder of Slovan. As part of the deal, it has acquired the company HC SLOVAN Bratislava, a.s. - which owns the professional men's A team, the women's team, and the Under 20 and Under 18 teams - as well as the association HC SLOVAN Bratislava - mládež, which includes youth teams from the preparatory school to the junior category, and SLOVAN MARKETING, s.r.o., the marketing arm of the club.
