Experience

Confidential client: Advising in connection with an ongoing cartel investigation in the EU and Germany. The Federal Cartel Office in Germany raided multiple power cable manufacturers over suspected price-fixing, including several companies that the EU Commission has already penalised for cartel conduct.
EUKOR: Advising in relation to a world-renowned cartel investigation in the container shipping sector by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in China.
Matsuo Electric: Defended manufacturer of aluminum and tantalum electrolytic capacitors in US criminal proceedings, including sentencing, evidentiary proceedings, alleging international price fixing and market allocation conspiracies.
Panasonic Corporation: Advising in connection with the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore’s investigation into alleged cartel in respect of the sale and supply of capacitors.
SITE S.p.A.: Advising on proceedings by the Italian Competition Authority concerning an alleged restrictive agreement for maintenance services of telephone network infrastructure, including appealing against the ICA's decision before the Administrative First Instance Court.
Turkish electricity distribution and retail companies: Advising on an abuse of dominant position investigation by the Turkish Competition Authority.
Volotea Airlines: Advising on two proceedings by the Italian Competition Authority for unfair commercial practices and on related administrative litigation; and in the EU General Court in challenging a European Commission’sdecision on State Aid.
A global manufacturer of branded consumer products: Advising on investigations into pricing practices by competition authorities in over a dozen jurisdictions.
A multinational energy corporation: Advising a multinational energy corporation on the European Commission's investigation into an alleged abuse of a dominant position. The long-running investigation began in 2011 with raids at 20 offices in 12 EU Member States. A settlement was reached on May 24, 2018 without fines.
A transport sector trade organization: Advising on the French Competition Authority's investigation into concerted pricing practices between competitors.
A world leading chemical company: Advising on four EU cartel investigations; and in follow-on litigation in UK courts and arbitration proceedings in Finland further to the 2017 EU/US decision against the rechargeable batteries cartel.
