Dentons (Paris and Amsterdam) advised laboratories Théa S.A.S in connection with the acquisition of the Sepofarsen and Ultevursen ophthalmology assets from the Netherlands-based preclinical biopharmaceutical company ProQR Therapeutics N.V.

Completion of this acquisition will enable the continuing development of Sepofarsen and Ultevursen for patients with ACL10 and Usher syndrome.

This acquisition represents a new step for laboratories Théa S.A.S in the research and treatment of rare genetic eye diseases.

For ProQR, it allows further progress to be made on the Axiomer RNA editing platform, with an initial focus on targets for cholestatic and cardiovascular diseases, as they seek to develop a new class of therapies for patients with high unmet need.

The transaction was completed on December 7.
